Welcome to the Hammond Area YMCA
The Hammond Area YMCA strengthens the foundations of our community through well-being and fitness, camps, family time, swim, sports and play, and other activities for people of all ages, incomes and abilities. We’re more than just a place to work out. At the Y, we help build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all with the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at the heart of everything we do.
Helping you maintain your balance
Physical activity will combat stress, increase your energy level, improve your attitude, help manage your weight, and make it easier to cope with your normal activities. The YMCA has always recognized the benefits of exercise. Our wellness staff can help you get more physically active and live a healthier life. All classes run monthly. Please sign up at the Welcome Center.
- In most classes, members must be 12 years of age or older to participate.
- All classes encourage members to go at their own pace and have fun.
- Classes are subject to change at any time.
- Some individuals will need a doctor’s release prior to participating.

Fitness Class Fees
Members: $10 Flex Pass includes all classes except Executive Boxing, Cycling & HIT, separate fees are charged for those classes. Classes run monthly.
Non-Members: $35 charge per class, except Executive Boxing, Cycling & HIT, separate fees are charged for those classes. Classes run monthly.
