Our mission is focused on you
The primary purpose of the Hammond Branch YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
The Hammond Branch YMCA was founded in December 1964. In January of 2011 the Hammond Branch YMCA merged with the Southlake YMCA in Crown Point, IN to form an association called the Crossroads YMCA. We are now formally known as the Crossroads YMCA-Hammond Branch. In 2012 the Crossroads Y opened another location in Griffith and in 2015 we opened the Whiting Y in the former Whiting Community Center.
For more than 40 years we have supported our community with memberships, programs and many other beneficial activities. We offer a wide range of activities for everyone!
The YMCA is the largest non-profit organization in the country. There are over 2,500 YMCA's just in the U.S. The YMCA is for people of all faiths, race, abilities, gender, ages and income.
