Membership
No matter where you are in the Calumet region, the Hammond Area YMCA has a
program that is right for you! Our facility is equipped with a swimming pool, a
gymnasium, fitness center, and a racquetball/handball court. We offer Aquatics
and Fitness programs for all ages. Locker rooms are equipped with showers,
steam rooms, and whirlpools. While working out or taking a fitness class, full
privilege members can enjoy free use of the Kid's Zone Babysitting service for
children up to age six.
When you become a member of the Hammond Area YMCA your membership
includes the following:
Membership Rates
Adult rates are $30.00 per month plus a one time $30.00 joiners fee.
An Individual Membership is defined as a membership for one person 18 years of
age or older.
Family rates are $50.00 per month plus a one time $60.00 joiners fee.
A Family is defined as all or some members of a household that file together on the
same Federal Income Tax return.
Youth ages 17 years and younger can join the Hammond Area YMCA for $20.00
per month plus a one time $20 joiners fee.
College Student Membership
College students who attend at least 9 credit hours are eligible for this program.
Membership includes full use of the facilities including the swimming pool,
basketball courts and fitness center. Other benefits include free access to 10
different fitness classes and free babysitting while visiting. Cost of this program is
$20.00 per month plus a one time join fee of $10.00. If your GPA is 3.0 or higher
the YMCA will waive the $10.00 join fee. Students must provide a photo ID, school
ID and a copy of their current schedule upon registration.
Corporate Memberships
Companies who encourage their employees to pursue a healthy lifestyle by staying
physically fit can receive incentives from the Hammond Area YMCA for

The Hammond Area YMCA wants everyone to enjoy its programs and services.
Youth and family members who are unable to pay the full cost of YMCA
